These cookies are a tribute to the inventor of the chocolate chip cookie, Ruth Wakefield, who created the happy accident in the 1930s and served them to guests at her Toll House Inn.
Unlike the original chocolate chip cookies, originally called "Chocolate Crispies", these cookies are soft on the inside and loaded with a mixture of dark and semi-sweet chocolate chips. We don't like to skimp on chocolate.
